It’s essential that the ingredients in a beer recipe are understood so that the beer being brewed ends-up the way it was intended to be made. The companies listed in this directory often provide their customers with laboratory analysis data that can be plugged-in to the calculators for:
The numbers that you will be looking for are for Extract (i.e. the maximum amount of sugar you can get from the malt) and Color. These numbers are not static as they do change every so often for the same variety of malt. This is why using software or a website that automatically fills-in these numbers can often be inaccurate.
